Through out this book the first few chapters the story tells about a kid nicknamed barf bag. He got bitten by a yellow spotted lizard and then he got sent off to hospital. While he's at the hospital there's another bad boy/kid named Stanley Yelnats and he got busted by the cops because he stole a shoes from a charity. So then he went home at his family's house with his grandfather, mother, and father. The book tell us that Stanley's family had a curse since his great great dirty rotten pig stealing grandfather did something bad. Time has passed Stanley's family went to go meet with the judge at the courtyard. The judge gives him an option to either go to the juvenile or go to a camp. So he picked the camp.
Stanley went off to the camp in a bus alone with a sheriff named Mr.Sir. Mr.Sir told him that Camp Greenlake don't have any fences because it is mostly miles and miles away from town and there are many holes because the boys dug it. So when he reached the point he got introduced to the camp. After that he met a few of people that turned out to be his new friends. Their name was X-Ray, Armpit, Squid, Magnet, Zero, Zig Zag (their nicknames). Then Mr.Pendanski said that he likes to call him by his real name. Once their done, they're gone digging with the shovels that's being stored. When they dug the dirt it's really hard because the soil is hard so it's really rough. Meanwhile while Stanley and the others were digging the dirt Zero managed to finished first. Then at the middle of digging they get a water supply from Mr.Sir. When he went to the camp he rested on the cot and someone said that it's been used by a guy named barf bag. Days past, Stanley sent his mom a letter to make sure he's okay and then he went outside to dug and he found a fossil but when he's asking X-Ray he said that it won't give him a day-off. Then people started calling him caveman for a reason.
At the "ten-something" chapter the book tells that Stanley found a bullet looking thing that has a KB initial with a heart around it. So then X-Ray took it then went to have a day-off. Then all of them just keep digging the dirt until it's 5 feet deep. Then the next day they dug up a hole but Zero went inside the tent after he's done digging then Stanley asked him why did he do that and Zero suddenly said "I don't know how!" so then Stanley was a bit weird out but Zero explained to him about his reading ability and he want's to learn how to read instead of write because he got no letters to send to. So then he teaches him how to read. Then they started up digging the next day and Stanley stole Mr.Sir's sunflowers seeds and he went to the warden's office because Stanley was framed for stealing. When he met the warden the warden basically don't care about the seeds and talked about her yellow dotted lizard nail polish. Then she talked about Kissin Kate Barlow, she said that Kate Barlow or KB is a outlaw who is used to be a teacher. She turned into an outlaw because her school was destroyed. What she does is kills the victim and kissed him. After that after she's done explaining she punched Mr.Sir on the face because he still talks about his seeds and it left a 3 purple scars on his left cheek. So then it was dismissed and Stanley went out there without any drama while his friends we're asking him stuff. Time passed, it's tommorow. Stanley taught Zero how to read the alphabet first and his name. He did great but he's struggling a little.
Then the night Zero and Stanley made a deal that Stanley will teach Zero how to read while Zero dugs Stanley's hole. Then when he taught Zero how to read he told Stanley about his actual real name which is Hector Zeroni. Back to Kate Barlow, after she's being an outlaw she went back to Camp Greenlake and she saw that there's no more peaches there and there are the cabin there. She slept there and then somebody was kicking her cabin and she saw a blurry rifle pointing exactly 2 feet in front of her. It was Trout Walker and Linda. Trout was asking about the loot that Kate have but she said there's no loot and there's never been a loot. So then Kate Barlow suddenly killed with laughter.
At the Camp it was Zig Zag's birthday so he could sleep on the bed for one night. So he did, and the next day Zero and Stanley was talking about the god's thumb. It's a mountain which precisely looked like a thumb. They were discussing it.
That's what I read and what I remembered from Chapter 1 to 30.
